Don't be so tight!

I'm not saying that you need to spend more money, or lend people your favourite DVD's. I'm talking about being tight chested! There are an estimated 5.4 million Asthma suffers in the UK, and more than 1300 people died in 2016 - the highest level since 2003.
The aim of this post is not to scaremonger or panic people, but to point out that Asthma is more than just having a tight chest, a wheeze or a cough. Obviously there are medical Reliever Inhalers available for Asthmatics, such as Salbutamol, Ventolin, Airomir, Asmol and Symbicort as well as Preventer Inhalers such as Alvesco, Flixotide, Flutiform, Intal, Qvar, Seretide, Symbicort and Tilade to name just a few.
In almost every case of an Asthma attack, taking a puff or two of your inhaler will relieve the attack and have you on your merry way again not long after. Some attacks may result in the need to use a Nebuliser or a hospital stay.
Imagine the scenario. You, or a loved one, are out and about, carrying with you your mobile phone, keys, purse (or wallet) and a handbag (or rucksack/backpack) and are hit with a sudden, dreaded Asthma attack. Imagine that you have forgotten your inhaler, or cannot get to it quick enough. This would obviously add to the stress of an already stressful situation, and could lead to worsened issues. Imagine the peace of mind that showing your medical ID to a passer by could give, knowing that they can read enough information to be able to get help for you quickly. But most medical ID doesn't offer you much help, just your medical condition and an emergency contact number.
QR Medical ID Products offer much more than that. Most of the products available display critical information such as:
1. Your name
2. Your medical condition(s)
3. Your emergency contacts (2 contacts with 2 contact numbers each)
4. Directions to call 999
5. A life-saving QR Code
Scanning the QR Code (which can be done via any smartphone via a free app) will give the following details, which can help to get you treated faster:
1. All of the above
2. Your medication
3. Where your medication is stored, e.g. in your bag, pocket or glovebox etc
4. Your NHS number (which could allow Paramedics en route to know what to expect before they reach you)
5. Your blood group (for if the worst happens)
6. Any allergies you have

So you see, even if you are still tight (chested) you can find some relief in QR Medical ID Products! And the good news is that, even if you are tight (with your money!) they do not cost the earth!
